Jack Steyn - Tennis & Pickleball Director

Jack is an Elite USPTA certified professional coach with a passion for teaching tennis. He still competes in National and International tennis events. Jack competed in the Wimbledon qualifying rounds and is a National mixed doubles champion. He is certified as a Sports Massage Therapist and is Pilates & Core Align trained. In addition, Jack holds a sports psychology degree.

Bernard Baron - Head Tennis Professional

Bernard is a certified USPTA and PTR teaching professional with over thirty years of tennis teaching experience covering all age groups. He is a former top twenty Florida ranked player in both singles and doubles. Past students have won Florida High School State Championships and earned Division 1 college scholarships. Bernie stresses the “fun” in fundamental tennis.

Rob Blackburn - Tennis Professional

Rob was born and raised in Manatee County and grew up playing tennis here at the Bradenton Country Club. He has played at several tennis academies throughout his tennis career, but ultimately returned here to train with BCC Tennis Director Jack Steyn before going off to play Division 1 College tennis. Once becoming a USPTA Professional he returned to Bradenton Country Club and began teaching our junior program. Rob now runs the BCC Junior after-school tennis program as well as our summer tennis camps. |
Justin Suttle - Tennis Professional

Justin joins the BCC Tennis Team, bringing over 25 years of teaching experience with him. Originally from Santa Barbra, Justin became one of California's top juniors. This brought him to the Florida area to play at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy. Justin has spent many years teaching and coaching at various tennis facilities around the United States and now has the title of a USPTA Elite Professional.

Jay Joudon - Pickleball Professional

A 2008 Manatee High graduate, Jaudon played tennis in high school and on the club team at the University of Florida. Jay started playing pickleball in 2017. He found the love of the sport and followed his passion by becoming certified by the International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association and by the Professional Pickleball Registry. Jay is a USA Diamond Championship gold medalist and an Indoor Nationals silver medalist. He is now a Level 2 IPTPA certified professional instructor and has a DUPR rating of 5.19 (advanced).
